KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Score another success for a local K-9. Public Safety Officers spotted a vehicle involved in a fleeing and eluding from Tuesday night in the 1400 block of Lay Boulevard in the Edison Neighborhood late last night.
The driver sped off again. The PSO’s were on foot and unable to pursue.
Shortly after, they responded to a report of a crash on East Cork Street and sure enough, it was the same vehicle.
The driver was missing. They summoned Chase the K-9 and his handler and after a lengthy track, they caught up to the 30-year-old.
The Suspect is being held for Hit and run, fleeing and eluding, resisting, multiple outstanding warrants, driving on a suspended license, and there may also be drug charges filed.
