STURGIS (WKZO AM/FM) — A 37-year-old motorcyclist from Fishers, Indiana is recovering from multiple injuries at Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo after he was struck by a mini-van in Sturgis during the noon hour Wednesday.
State Police say the driver of the mini-van was leaving a Dairy Queen on U.S. 12 and pulled out right in front of the eastbound motorcycle.
Troopers do not believe the cyclist was wearing a helmet when the two collided.
The victim was taken to Sturgis Hospital, stabilized, and then loaded on a AirCare helicopter and flown to Kalamazoo.
His name and current condition have not been released.
