FAWN RIVER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB/WNWN) – A Sherwood man was killed and two other persons were injured Wednesday morning in a Saint Joseph County two vehicle crash.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Mark Lillywhite reports the crash took place on U.S. 12 and Sweet Lake Road at about 4:30 a.m. when an eastbound 2007 Nissan Altima driven by 19 year old Alondra Aguilar from LaGrange, Indiana crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2008 Kia Rio which was driven by 54-year-old Daniel James Waring of Sherwood.
Waring was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, 30 year old Mose Bontrager of Bronson was taken to Sturgis Hospital with severe injuries along with Aguilar.
The crash is still under investigation.
