KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Wednesday is the first day of classes for students at Western Michigan University and for several other colleges across Michigan.
But the day before, about 15,000 WMU students got a chance to see what they can do outside of the classroom.
Tuesday night, the university held their annual “Bronco Bash” event, full of music, food, free items, and about 450 booths.
Students could check out everything from local businesses, various educational opportunities outside their major, on-campus organizations, agencies, services, and clubs for students with special interests.
The University has also set up a “one stop” location at the Bernhard Center, for any last minute housing information, registration, parking passes, and more, which will be open through Friday.
In addition, the Bronco Football season officially kicks off this week.
Their first game at Waldo Stadium takes place Friday at 6 p.m. as they take on Syracuse University.
