BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — An elderly man is dead after a house fire in Battle Creek.
Crews were called to a home on Martha Drive around 4 a.m. Friday morning and worked quickly to extinguish the blaze.
Officials say an 89-year-old man and a dog were found dead inside the burning home.
The cause is still unknown and the victim’s name has not been released.
