CASS COUNTY (WKZO AM/FM) — A driver who was allegedly high on heroin may face charges for causing a collision at an intersection in Cass County, but he may also be lucky to be alive.
Deputies say that 29-year-old Leon Myrick of Elkhart failed to stop at a stop sign at Calvin Center Road and M-60 and pulled out in front of a vehicle that had the right of way.
The resulting collision was not a direct hit, both vehicles were damaged and there were only minor injuries.
But Myrick passed out after the collision and lucky for him, fire rescue personnel were at the scene and were able to use Narcan and CPR to revive him.
