TEXAS TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — A suicidal Texas Township woman is recovering after she was found unconscious in the woods.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies were called to a home in the 7,000 block of South 10th Street just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday after reports of a missing woman that made statements about harming herself.
Family members said she usually rides her bicycle to a relative’s gravesite at a cemetery on South 8th Street.
Police arrived at the cemetery and found the victim’s bicycle, phone, and an empty bottle of pills.
K-9 Ajax located the 55-year-old woman about 100 yards into the woods unconscious but breathing, and she was taken to the hospital where she is recovering.
