KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Several Kalamazoo businesses are being cited after selling alcohol to minors.
Kalamazoo County Sheriff deputies sent undercover teens into 74 stores and restaurants in the area to attempt to purchase alcohol.
Out of the 74, 8 of them sold to the minor.
Each business was cited and will have some explaining to do to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.
Each clerk was also cited separately for selling to minors, which will mean a big fine.
The operation was funded by a special enforcement grant.
