KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — An Ohio resident is now in the Kalamazoo County Jail after an assault in the city’s Southside Neighborhood.
It occurred just after 9 p.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Superior Avenue.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers say a woman, who knew the man, went to go meet him in the area, but upon doing so, he pulled out a handgun and sexually assaulted her.
After a search throughout the night, officers located the 26-year-old suspect, who was visiting friends in town, and he was arrested on charges related to the assault.
