BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Police are searching for a suspect after a fatal shooting at a Battle Creek park.
A 22-year-old man arrived at Bronson Battle Creek just after 7 p.m. Tuesday with a gunshot wound to his head.
The victim was identified as Khari Davis and he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigators believe the shooting happened at Claude Evans Park on North Washington Avenue and say there were numerous people at the park when the incident occurred.
Detective Sergeant Todd Elliott says they want to talk to anyone who was in the park at the time.
Right now they have no description of the gunman, who was on foot and shot Davis as he sat in his car.
Anyone who was there at the time or has more information on a suspect should contact the Battle Creek Police Department.
