VICKSBURG, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – What started as a domestic violence complaint resulted in a standoff that lasted hours at a Vicksburg apartment complex Monday.
According to the Vicksburg Police Department, they were called out between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m.
A suspect was tracked to Prairie Meadows Apartments on Prairie Street between North 2nd Street and North Boulevard Street in Vicksburg. Police were able to remove people who were with the suspect.
The man was considered armed, so police blocked off the area for several hours. He surrendered in the apartment after about seven hours.
Vicksburg police say charges are pending.
