KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A woman has been killed in a car/pedestrian accident in the Knollwood neighborhood.
It happened last night at the intersection of West Michigan Avenue and Kenbrooke Court, west of WMU’s main Campus.
The 40-year-old victim was crossing the street when she was hit by not one but two cars. Both drivers remained at the scene, calling for help just after 10pm.
Arriving officers found the unresponsive female lying in the roadway. Life-saving measures were begun but she could not be resuscitated and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor, but tests will be conducted.
The victim’s name is being withheld until next of kin are notified.
