KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety officers are identifying the woman killed after she was struck by two vehicles in the Knollwood neighborhood.
It happened just after 10 p.m. last Friday night at the intersection of West Michigan Avenue and Kenbrooke Court, west of WMU’s main campus.
They say 40-year-old Krystal Lawrence of Kalamazoo was crossing the street when she was hit by two different vehicles.
Both drivers remained at the scene and called for help.
Arriving officers found Lawrence unresponsive in the roadway.
They began life-saving measures but she could not be resuscitated and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in either crash.
