TEXAS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Valley Community College is inviting the public to their formal installation of their third college President.
An investiture ceremony will be held for Dr. L. Marshall Washington at the Dale B. Lake Auditorium at KVCC’s Texas Township campus at 4 p.m. Friday.
The theme is, “Celebrating the Past and Creating the Future.”
The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be provided after the ceremony.
Washington most recently served as the President of a college in West Virginia, and is familiar with the area, once having worked as the Vice President of Student Services at Kellogg Community College in Grand Rapids.
He is replacing Dr. Marilyn Schlack who announced her retirement in the fall of 2017.
