KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo city staffers say if you want change in the community, this is your chance to be heard.
City Planner Christina Anderson says they are actively seeking your input and what they glean from the community now will guide public policy for the next decade as “Imagine Kalamazoo 2035” is now being formulated.
Their next session is Tuesday.
Anderson says it’s how they do things here, and they realize it’s not how most governments work.
Conversely, if you don’t like what the city is doing, it may be because you didn’t turn out for the Imagine 2025 sessions, and others did. It’s just how Kalamazoo now works.
The next meeting to discuss the Strategic Goals and Outcomes will be Northside Association for Community Development at 6:30 Tuesday evening.
Two more sessions are planned this month, on the 18th at the Kalamazoo College Fieldhouse at 6:30 p.m., and at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts on March 27th from 4 to 6 p.m.
