KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — A suspect from a stabbing investigation from last weekend is now in custody after Public Safety officers received a tip about the location of 23-year-old Shelby Perry.
She was being sought for allegedly plunging a knife into the chest of a 19-year-old at the Fox Ridge Apartments just after 3:30 a.m. early Saturday morning.
Public Safety had to deploy a K-9 and the dog was able to track down Perry near Arthur Avenue early Wednesday morning, days after the stabbing.
She was arrested without incident for assault and lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail pending arraignment.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and last listed in critical condition.
His current condition was not released.
