VICKBURG (WKZO AM/FM) — It’s been in the works for some time and the Vicksburg Village Council could greenlight the 50-million dollar makeover of the old Vicksburg Paper Mill Monday night.
They are being asked to create a Planned Unit Development at the old industrial site, which will permit the developers to turn it into a mixed use facility.
There are plans to include commercial, office and residential space at the big old factory site with some sort of concert venue or event space, and even a brewery.
Some work has already been done removing a section that caught fire, shoring up the site and doing remedial clean-ups.
If they get the PUD zoning, construction would begin next spring. It would be called, “The Mill”.
