FLORENCE TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 21-year-old Howe, Indiana man is dead after police say he apparently ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle in St. Joseph County’s Florence Township Tuesday afternoon.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office says the man was traveling eastbound on Stears Road in a Honda Civic when he failed to stop for the stop sign and hit a pickup truck heading northbound on Lutz Road.
The Honda driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while the pickup truck driver was uninjured.
The accident happened just before 4:00 p.m.
