PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Portage mother charged with physically abusing her twin sons, killing one of them, is now heading to jail.
21-year-old Jennifer Mohler was sentenced Monday morning to 20 to 60 years behind bars for second degree murder and first degree child abuse.
She admitted to hitting the 6-month-old boys to keep them from crying after Portage police responded to a medical call last January and reported signs of abuse that killed young Logan, and injured his twin brother, Noah.
Mohler will receive credit for the 132 days she has already served in the Kalamazoo County Jail.
