VICKSBURG, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Trustees in the Village of Vicksburg have approved designating the historic Vicksburg Paper Mill site as a Planned Unit Development, a zoning designation that permits a variety of uses.
That’s exactly what the developer has planned for the big structure, which closed down over a decade ago.
Project Manager Jackie Koney says Monday night’s action is another essential step toward making the $50-million renovation a reality.
“The Mill” will include a hotel, office space, a brewery, restaurants, indoor event space, outdoor concert venue, and more.
Work on removing contamination and some building improvements have already begun but the real renovation work will begin in the spring.
