KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety was gratified to learn that the fire they had just rushed to put out just after 2pm Tuesday in one of the brand new apartments along Arboretum Parkway near Drake Road, was already extinguished by the time they got there.
The fire had started on the stove filling the apartment with smoke, but a fire suppression system had already doused it.
They say it undoubtedly prevented extensive damage to not only the apartment but the entire building, preventing loss of property, injuries and potential loss of lives.
