KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A popular downtown Kalamazoo restaurant is re-opening its doors and throwing a party.
Food Dance Restaurant at the corner of East Michigan Avenue and North Pitcher Street temporarily closed late September after an accidental kitchen fire caused significant damage.
Repairs were made throughout the restaurant and their Facebook page showed progress photos from a signed kitchen to a new, clean, and updated venue.
Food Dance’s grand re-opening party will take place Thursday evening from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with signature food, cocktails, and new desserts.
Event tickets can bought on their website and then they will resume their normal hours on Friday morning beginning at 7 p.m.
While one reopens, another has closed.
The Skartsiaris family has sold one of their three Theo’s and Stacy’s locations in town.
They served their last meals at the location near the airport Tuesday night.
They still have their locations downtown and on South Westnedge featuring Greek cuisine.
