TEXAS TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Michigan State Police troopers, Texas Township firefighters and Life EMS were all dispatched Thursday afternoon to West O Avenue near South 4th Street in Texas Township.
The calls to dispatch about an injury crash involving two vehicles included details that one vehicle was in a pond.
Several separate crashes were found when deputies and troopers arrived on the scene, but no vehicles were in the pond and the only injuries were minor. West O Avenue was shut down for the clean up and was later reopened.
Deputies say drivers were going too fast for the icy road conditions when the crashes happened around 12:30 in the afternoon.
