LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Michigan Senate Democrats are suing the Michigan House of Representatives.
Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks of Grand Rapids says House Speaker Matt Hall needs to send nine bills that were approved last year to Governor Whitmer for her signature and says he is failing his constituents.
Hall has said there is no definite timeline for sending the bills to the governor, which Brinks says is not true.
Hall’s office says he is doing a “thorough, comprehensive legal review” of the bills and says the Senate needs to take action soon on House bills that will protect tipped wages. Brinks says they are having conversations on those bills.
