KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — You may want to plan your own alternative route to avoid traveling west to east through Downtown Kalamazoo for the next day or two at least, maybe longer.
The city has issued a news release warning he public that traffic on Michigan Avenue will be funneled down into one lane at Rose Street to allow the construction crew putting up The Exchange to remove the huge construction crane that has dominated the skyline downtown for most of this year.
Kalamazoo Public Utilities Director Jim Baker says it’s going to be an issue through the work week and it should be fully taken down by Saturday.
They have created a map with some possible detours, depending on where drivers are headed.
