WAYLAND, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Hot ‘n Now, the drive-thru hamburger chain founded in Kalamazoo in 1984 that expanded nationwide before dwindling to a single location in Sturgis, will soon have more locations in Michigan.
Gun Lake Investments and Alpena business owner Jeff Konczak told MLive they will open two new locations this year near Gun Lake Casino in Wayland and in Alpena, with other locations to follow.
The menu will include burgers, coney dogs, shakes, sandwiches, fries, and other classic fast food.
Based in Grand Rapids, Gun Lake Investments is an economic development corporation owned by the Gun Lake Tribe. Konczak owns B Cubed Manufacturing, which makes modular drive-thru buildings, including for Biggby Coffee’s B Cubed drive-thru locations.
