CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Department is continuing its investigation of a fatal house fire late Saturday afternoon.
Authorities were called to a residence in the 70000 block of Tharp Lake Rd in Porter Township at around 5:07 p.m., finding the house involved in flames.
Further investigation determined that 67-year-old Patricia Cloud and 37-year-old Brandon Cloud had been unable to escape the fire, and both died as a result of their injuries.
Assisting in this incident was SEPSA Fire and EMS, Penn Fire, Central Cass Fire, Edwardsburg Fire and EMS, Osolo Fire, Bristol Fire, Cleveland Fire, and Michigan State Police.
