KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Christmas is supposed to be a family holiday, but that can be a good or bad thing, depending on what your family is like and your history with them.
No one grew up in Mayberry or had June and Ward Cleaver as their real life parents.
Master Social Worker Michelle Zucowski-Serlin says it can be rough.
She says do your best to compliment the dressing and avoid touchy areas.
Her Husband Troy, who shares her practice, says being alone on Christmas is no fun either.
He recommends volunteering, to help out someone else this Christmas.
Many have volunteered for a shift at the Blue Dolphin Christmas Day to help serve free meals to low income and lonely residents from noon to 3pm.
