KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — It appears that a Kalamazoo man will survive being shot in the abdomen early on Christmas Eve on Kalamazoo’s far north side.
Public Safety responded at 2:20 this morning to a report of a man who had been shot at the corner of East Prouty and Burdick Street.
They found a 48-year-old man lying on the sidewalk bleeding from a bullet wound.
They were not able to get a lot of information from him before he was rushed away to the hospital for emergency surgery.

it is at least the third shooting in that neighborhood in the last few weeks.
