BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — The parents of the youngest survivor of last February’s mass shooting say she’s “not doing very well” after a couple of medical setbacks this summer.
Abigail Kopf, 15, is reportedly suffering memory loss, speech issues, and a loss of blood pressure, according to a Facebook page updated by Kopf’s parents.
The Battle Creek teenager received a plate in her head last spring that later had to be removed because of an infection, and had to undergo surgery in August because a wound was not healing property.
She is scheduled this month for a second attempt to install a plate to cover the gap in her skull left by a bulled that grazed her head a little more than a year ago.
