PORTAGE (WKZO-AM) — Portage Public Schools is asking for help figuring out what to call a pair of new district athletic facilities.
A survey posted to the district’s website asks what to name the new stadium at Portage Northern High School. It also asks whether to port the old McCamley Field name over to the new stadium at Portage Central.
Voters in 2015 approved $144 million in bonds for construction of two new middle schools, new high school pools and sports stadiums, new buses and district-wide technology upgrades.
Stadium construction at both sites is slated to start this spring.
Naming suggestions are being accepted through Jan. 20.
