KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A body has been recovered from the Kalamazoo River on the southern end of Verburg Park at Gull Road, just west of Riverview Drive.
It was spotted floating about ten feet from shore.
They don’t know how long the body had been in the river, but it did appear that the victim was a white male in his 50s wearing winter clothing.
The news release didn’t say whether any identification was found on the body.
They are waiting for autopsy results to determine the cause of death, but detectives from the criminal investigations division have been assigned to investigate.
