CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — The preliminary hearing has been delayed for a Homer man who is charged with two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct for alleged sexual abuse involving two under-aged sisters.
Prosecutors claim that 42-year-old William Wolter would ply the girls with drugs and alcohol before molesting them. The hearing was scheduled to determine if the Prosecution has enough evidence to bind Wolter over for trial.
County Detectives had been looking for Wolter since August and found him hiding in a home in Albion in December.
A motion was made by the defense during the hearing to reduce the $300,000 bond set by the court at Wolter’s arraignment.
But the prosecutor argued that they consider Wolter to be a threat to the community and the judge agreed, rejecting the defense motion.
