KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A group of WMU students who are studying the state budget process met at Sangren Hall last night to watch the State of the State address and discuss it.
Tyler Hayes, who helped organize the event says she was disappointed that the Governor did not address her biggest issue, rising tuition and student debt.
The Group plans to travel to Lansing as part of their learning plan as the budget process rolls out this session.
They are taking on the studies in addition to various majors where having a knowledge of the state budget process might be a benefit.
