LANSING, MI — Just in time for the busy Thanksgiving holiday travel period, the Michigan Department of Transportation has reopened the ramp that intersects two major roadways in the Lansing region.
MDOT officials on Tuesday said the ramp from EB I-96 to NB U.S. -127 in south Lansing is now open since being closed for rebuilding in late summer. The state agency in charge roads said an issue with a contractor delayed the project for over a month.
The two busiest travel days of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend will be today and Sunday, according to AAA Michigan officials.
