KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A 51-year-old male is being held for breaking into the car and the home of a man who lived in the 400-block of Eldred in the broad daylight.
Maybe he thought he could use the fog as cover.
A neighbor called Public Safety just after 1 p.m. Sunday to report the crime, and based on the description given by that neighbor, and with the help of a K-9, they were able to track the suspect and make an arrest in the 700 block of North Westnedge.
They found some of the stolen items dumped along the path.
The suspect had taken electronics, personal effects, even some of their groceries. All of it was recovered and handed back to the homeowner, who arrived home just as officers were arriving.
