LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Michigan Supreme Court will not hear an appeal by a Kalamazoo County man accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
That means prosecutors will be allowed to introduce evidence at the trial of Kevin Branch that he was involved in previous sexual assaults.
Prosecutors want to admit testimony from another teenage victim but part of the request was denied by the trial court.
The appeals court vacated that order, and the Supreme Court not taking up the appeal solidifies the appeals court ruling.
