KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — With the return of winter, Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller is urging drivers to take it slow on the roads.
He said drivers might have to re-teach themselves how to get around in poor conditions after most of the snow and ice was melted by unseasonable warmth.
“Take your foot off the gas, less brake, keep your hands on the wheel and their devices on the seat or in the glove box and out of their view,” Fuller said. “Also remember, four-wheel drive does not mean four-wheel stop.”
Flurries finally came back to Kalamazoo on Thursday. The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids is expecting more snow and ice through the weekend and into next week.
