KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — There are immediate care centers that will treat walk-in patients when they run a fever, or get an infection or need a shot. A new walk-in clinic that will open in Kalamazoo in a week will specialize in body work.
Jennifer Squires says the new Borgess Orthopedic walk-in clinic will provide a quick alternative to the Emergency Room when you break a bone, sprain or twist a joint, or experience the kind of sports or household accident that results in pain or discomfort.
According to staffer Scott McLaughlin they can do the job more quickly, no appointment required and at far less cost. Patients only have to pay the office co-pay, instead of the often higher co-pay required when they go to the Emergency Room.
They will hold an open house Saturday from 11am to 2pm at the clinic at the corner of Gull and Shaffer.
They plan to open for business on Monday, February 6.
