KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Kalamazoo County Administrator Kevin Catlin says they are learning that there may be some hoops to jump through to get $3-million added by the governor to the 2024-25 state budget for tornado relief in Kalamazoo County.
He says a million will be allocated through Michigan State Police and the other $2-million through the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity.
Catlin plans to meet with state officials in early December to get the details.
FEMA says 74 homes were destroyed and 268 suffered damage, along the tornado’s 11-mile long path of destruction.
