DEARBORN (WKZO-AM) — AAA says gas prices in Michigan are trending higher. Auto club spokesperson Susan Hiltz said a gallon of regular will likely set you back around $2.24 right now.
“That’s up about four cents from last week and 67 cents more than last year,” Hiltz said.
She said pain at the pump is being moderated by a lack of driving.
“There’s less demand and there has also been an increase in U.S. oil production,” Hiltz said.
The average Monday morning was $2.19 in Kalamazoo and Lansing, according to GasBuddy.com. In Grand Rapids, it was $2.22.
