KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Three petty thieves who were breaking into homes and cars at apartment complexes on the far western edge of the city of Kalamazoo are now in the Kalamazoo County Jail.
Public Safety was responding to a burglary complaint on Escape Drive just before 1 p.m. Monday when they got another call about three people trying to break into cars at an apartment complex right on the other side of Michigan Avenue, on Pine Terrace Blvd.
They located the two men and a woman and discovered they not only had stolen property from the home on Escape Drive but from earlier home invasions in the area.
They may be formally charged today.
