KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Kalamazoo County Board saluted the 2016, MAC Champion Bronco Football team after their victorious season, losing only once to Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl.
Sheriff Rick Fuller announced they were naming their Patrol Boat after the team. It will be called “Bronco 1”.
Athletic Director Cathy Beauregard says this was a very special group of student athletes, were not only champions on the field but winners in the classroom, owners of the largest GPA in the MAC.
Running back Jamauri Bogan says they hope to maintain their winning ways going into the future. New head coach Tim Lester did not attend last night’s event.
