KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — WMU President John Dunn and his wife, Linda will be taking a victory lap around the far flung WMU facilities and affiliates later this month to say farewell to supporters as he is approaches retirement.
The five day tour includes a series of stops at WMU and Cooley Law School campuses around the state and dinners and receptions in a number of communities where there are large alumni bases.
He will be taking the farewell tour in a specially wrapped bus. In all he plans stops in 13 cities in the region over a five day period from February 27th through March 3rd.
Dr. Dunn isn’t nearly done with his work at WMU. He doesn’t retire until this summer and even then he has agreed to stick around for a year as President Emeritus to help with the transition and to carry out assignments from the Board of Trustees.
The tour is being coordinated by the WMU Development and Alumni Relations Office. Those interested in attending any of the events can go to MyWMU.com/DunnFarewell to reserve a spot at any scheduled event.
The cost to attend a morning receptions is $15. Luncheon receptions are $25, and evening receptions range from $30 to $55 per person
