UNDATED (WKZO AM/FM) — This is a ‘free-fishing’ weekend in Michigan. It was originally intended by the DNR to get folks to out to try some ice fishing but that is not happening.
With highs in the 50’s predicted for this weekend, anglers will have to make the best of it and drop a hook from a boat, a bridge, a pier or a bank near a favorite fishing spot.
The DNR says it’s good for those who are not experienced anglers or first timers to go out with someone who is already knowledgeable.
It makes it a lot easier and a lot more fun and you can also learn the rules and regulations which will still be in effect this weekend even if you aren’t required to get a license on Saturday and Sunday.
