DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz held a rally in downtown Detroit last night as he pushes for support for Vice President Kamala Harris and himself.
The Minnesota governor was joined by Jon Bon Jovi, who performed at the rally. Speaking at Hart Plaza, he told supporters the women in their lives have their lives at stake in today’s election.
Walz discussed former President Trump’s three justices on the U.S. Supreme Court who were pivotal in repealing Roe v. Wade, sending the issue of abortion rights back to the states.
Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin, who is running for the U.S. Senate, also spoke at Tim Walz’s rally in Detroit.
Slotkin is in a tight battle with Republican Mike Rogers, a former Congressman, to succeed the retiring U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow.
