KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Western Michigan University is making it easier for Kalamazoo Public Schools students to take college Spanish courses that will count for a Spanish minor before they graduate high school.
The dual enrollment program was announced yesterday and Carla Koretsky the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at WMU, believes the students will be successful.
Some students from Kalamazoo Central and Loy Norrix high schools sat in on a Spanish class and toured the campus yesterday.
Classes will start at both high schools in the fall of 2025 and will be held on the WMU campus this academic year.
