KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM/FM) — A packed audience turned out Thursday night at the First Congregational Church in Kalamazoo for a townhall session on the Affordable Care Act.
Congressman Fred Upton was invited, but didn’t show.
The crowd chanted, “Where is Fred?” Organizer Jen Judd said he has declined every invitation they have issued for events big and small all week. Judd said Upton, R-St. Joseph, will be receiving a video recording of the event.
Upton may not have been there, but he did issue a news release saying that he will be co-sponsoring legislation to protect patients with pre-existing conditions, and that he supports repealing and replacing Obamacare.
