KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — An armed robber who pulled off a brazen daylight mugging in the Vine neighborhood remains at large.
Sgt. Jason Hendrick says the victim, a 22-year-old woman told officers that she left a Kalamazoo bank during the noon hour on Friday and was being followed by the man.
He ran up to her, and threatened her with a gun in the 200 block of Dutton Street, and ordered her to get on the ground. He then took her wallet and ran down South Rose St.
A tracking dog was deployed but could not follow the track.
The robber is described as a tall black male with an athletic build, wearing a black hoodie, Khaki pants and black tennis shoes with white trim. He wore a blue surgical style mask to hide his face.
