MECOSTA COUNTY, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 25-year-old inmate from Kalamazoo County has died after he escaped a Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office vehicle Thursday morning.
Tylor Ormsbee was being transferred from the Mecosta County Jail to the custody of the Michigan Department of Corrections in Jackson when he was able to escape from the moving vehicle, but he died of his injuries yesterday.
Ormsbee was heading to prison for violating his probation.
He managed to get out of the vehicle as it was on US-127.
